At Ancestry we are committed to empowering the next generation of history makers and today we are proud to announce our partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) to help further their mission of enabling all young people to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. Boys & Girls Clubs provide a safe place for more than 4 million youth, giving them the tools and community to dream BIG and discover their great futures.

To kick off our partnership, we are thrilled to celebrate and support the graduating seniors embarking on their next chapter through Club programming and by sponsoring the new “History Makers Scholarship” that will be awarded to three graduating seniors. 

In a letter to graduating seniors Deb shared,  “For centuries, inspiring figures throughout history have graduated and gone on to accomplish amazing things whether that be in their career, at their university, volunteering in the community or in the military. No matter where life takes you next, always remember the lessons you’ve learned at the Club and the BGCA community that has your back. You are the leaders of tomorrow, and we can’t wait to see what you do next!”

As graduating senior Octavius H. shared, “Boys & Girls Club is the place that prepares you for life. There’s no other experience like it.” With the resources provided by Boys & Girls Clubs of America, nearly 100% of Club teens are expected to graduate from high school this year, with 8 in 10 applying for college.
