Between August 1942 and March 1943, thousands of internees were deported from the Gurs internment camp in southern France to Auschwitz-Birkenau. Lists of deportees were published in the newspaper Aufbau. Details in this database were transcribed from some of those lists. Entries include the deportee’s name and former residence.
