Im Oktober 1938 flohen etwa 1.600 jüdische Einwohner der Stadt Reichenberg (heute Liberec in der Tschechischen Republik) und Umgebung aufgrund des Anschlusses des Sudetenlandes ans Deutsche Reich nach Prag. Diese Sammlung enthält etwa 900 dieser Personen.

Jews influenced and contributed to the culture of Reichenberg for hundreds of years. Prior to World War II, many held prominent positions in the city. In October of 1938, approximately 1,600 Jewish inhabitants from the city and surrounding areas fled to Prague due to the Sudetenland being annexed to the German Reich. Many of these refugees were eventually deported and killed. This collection contains about 900 individuals from Reichenberg.
